We will study the book “Being Muslim: A Pratical Guide” by Asad Tarsin.
Text covers the basics of Islam and the teachings one would adopt to establish a healthy practice as a Muslim.
The classes will be FREE, along with the learning materials.
Teaching the course will be Chris Venus, a community member whom embraced Islam almost 10 years ago in Calgary, while studying communications at the University of Calgary. It is also our hope to have some guest speakers and teachers from local Muslim organizations drop by to lend and hand, teaching what they know as well.
Who would benefit from this class?
- A person who is new to Islam and has just embraced the faith within the past 2 years
- Any born-Muslim who sincerely believes they need new start at learning about Islam
- Any non-Muslim who is seeking to understand more about Islam, we don’t expect you accept what you learn but at least come out with some understanding
The class size will be kept to a maximum of 20 students to ensure quality and enough individual attention.
